Overview
This article describes the features of (mt) Security Pack. Media Temple is proud to offer our new Security Pack, powered by our in-house provider Sucuri. The Security Pack is designed to make your sites more secure and faster than ever. The new security center console is streamlined and extremely easy to use, with features like a Content Delivery Network (CDN) and Web Application Firewall (WAF).

(mt) Security Pack includes the following features:
- Proactive Security Monitoring: Sucuri schedules automated and continuous security scans, with detailed reports available directly in the Media Temple Security Console.
- Alerting: Any malware incidents detected by Sucuri are immediately brought to your attention via email, SMS, or Social Media direct messaging. Detailed security scan results are available through a Security tool in the security console.
- Security Cleanup: If your site is compromised, submit a malware removal request via your security console and a specially trained agent will work to clean your site.
- SSL Certification: Set up SSLs to automatically install and renew as part of each domain you protect with a firewall.
- Web-Application Firewall (WAF): A managed cloud-based firewall solution that mitigates external attacks, including vulnerability exploitation attempts and DDoS attacks. It strips out bad requests while letting the good ones through.
- Content Delivery Network (CDN): A global content delivery network (CDN) and advanced content optimization technology to increase your website's speed and reduce bandwidth usage through dynamic content caching and optimization.

Requirements
- Securing a domain with (mt) Security Pack requires DNS changes. For that reason, it's generally recommended that domains with DNS zone files using Media Temple's nameservers are configured for this service (as this will allow the DNS changes to be automatically adjusted for you). - For domains with DNS hosted at a third-party, we recommend reviewing the instructions on Security Pack's CDN /WAF here.
- All A/CNAME records for your domain must be pointed to the service on which your site is hosted. If you are securing a parent domain (like ‘domain.com’), this is also true for the ‘www’ subdomain
