Welcome!
Welcome to (mt) Media Temple! We're so glad to have you! This guide is here to help you get acquainted to the Media Temple Account Center, so you can learn about the tools and features available to you!
Logging in
When a customer purchases their first Media Temple service, a welcome letter will be sent to the email used to create your account. In that welcome letter, there will be a link for you to create your password.
If you can't find the email, no worries! Simply go to https://ac.mediatemple.net and select the "Forgot Password" option for a password reset.
Overview
Now that you're logged in, you'll be prompted with the Overview page:


- Services: A list of the servers or domain registrations you have with Media Temple.
- Billing: See your upcoming payments and account balance.
- Support Center: To view any support requests you've opened with our Support team.
- Security & CDN: To enable (mt) CDN & WAF services (if applicable).
At the top of the Overview page, you'll see a bar with additional menus:
- Overview: Return to the Overview page.
- Domains: View/add domains to your account/server.
- Contacts: View/edit your contact information, or to give additional users Media Temple login access.
- Billing: Make payments, change credit card information, view invoices, view pricing/renewal times, and more.
- Support: View chat history, submit support requests, view our community articles, generate a support pin for phone support, and more.
- Add New Service: Add a new service to this account.

Services
The Services sections shows a list of servers or domain registrations you have at Media Temple:

- Domain Name: Lists your Primary name and Alternate domain(s) (If applicable).
- Service: Indicating your server type.
- Renews: The services renewal date.

- Domain Name: Lists your Primary name and Alternate domain(s) (If applicable).
- Service: Indicating your server type.
- Renews: The services renewal date.

Control Panel
After clicking on the button, you will now be taken to your server's control panel:

Left hand side:
- Server Overview: Return to this screen.
- Server Guide: View server information such as access domain, name servers, Grid cluster information, and more.
- Sites: Click to access domains tools for domains attached to your Grid.
- Feedback: To leave company feedback.
- View Tour: To get brief information of your Grid server.
Server Access
- Hostname: Primary domain name
- FTP: FTP Hostname
- Username: FTP/SSH username.
Server Settings
- Add/Edit Users: Create FTP and Email users.
- Server Admin Password & SSH: To enable SSH and update your SSH password.
- PHP Settings: Change your domain PHP versions.
- Redirect Domains: Set up a redirect for your domains.
Email Settings
- Email Aliases & Forwarders: Set up email aliases an forwarders.
- MailProtect: Change your server's spam filter level.
- Enable/Disable Mail: Enable or disable email for your domains.
- Webmail: Redirected to a web-browser based mail client to check/send emails.
Stats & Reports
- Bandwidth Usage Report: View your bandwitdh usage.
- Disk Usage Report: View your disk usage.
- Report & Settings & Log: View access / error logs.
- GPU Usage Reports: View GPU (Grid Processing Unit) usage.
File Manangement
- File Manager: View/access site file through your browser.
- Password Protect Folders: Enable password protection for folders.
- Cron Jobs: Create cron jobs.
- Emergency File Restore Request: Request an Emergency File Restoration (paid service).
Databases
- Manage Databases: View/Manage your databases & database users.
- GridContainers: View/Manage Grid Containers (if applicable).

- Create Zone File: Add zone files for a domain.
- See all domains: View primary and alternate domains on your server.

Admin Panel
Server Stats:
- Status: General status of WordPress server.
- Sites: The number of site slots used / the total site slots available.
- Add a New Site: Use an avilalabe site slot.
- Buy More: Purchase additional site slots.
- Security: View/Edit (mt) CDN & WAF (if applicable).
- Delay Automatic Updates: Delay automated WordPress updates for 30 days on your sites.
All Sites
- SSL: Purchase an SSL certificate.
- Security: Purchase (mt) CDN & WAF.
- To enter the WordPress control panel, click on the desired site. Feel free to do so at this time.
WordPress Control Panel
Left-menu:
- General: To navigate back to the General page.
- Developer Tools: Add staging sites, clone your site, restore from backups, and migrating to Media Temple.
- Domains: Add domain, change primary domain.
- Themes: Change your WordPress theme.
- phpMyAdmin: Warp into your sites database.
Top-menu:
- Change Nickname: Change the nickname of your site slot (does not change actual domain name).
: Warp into the WordPress Admin Dashboard.
Center-menu:
System
- A picture of your front page. Clicking on this will load your website in a browser.
At a Glance
- Status: General status of your site.
- Speed: Estimated speed load time.
- Last backup: Date of most recent backup.
- SSL Certificate: Will indicate if you have installed an SSL certificate to your site.
SSH + SFTP
- Hostname: SSH/SFTP hostname.
- Username: SSH/SFTP username.
- Password: Click show to see you SSH/SFTP password.
- SSH Access: Enable SSH access.
Security
- The (mt) Security & CDN (if applicable).
Delete Site
WordPress Stats
- Show basic statistics and usage of your WordPress site.
Comments
